Cancer research and production company, Autolus, came to us seeking a new head office and research laboratory in West London. We developed a design that offered a sophisticated response to a potentially challenging brief; a cerebral and microbiological environment that appeals to quite a young, graduate workforce. The laboratory space (14,000 sq ft) had to accommodate specific workflow demands, but also be fully flexible and visable from the office space. The largest challenge being to adapt an office building into one that can support a demanding laboratory space, but ensure the quality of the working environment is sustained.
