Mansfield Monk team - Paul Wren

Next in our ‘get to know’ series we’re catching up with MM Senior Architectural Technician Paul Wren, finding out who the man behind our impeccably detailed drawings is.

Who’s your favourite artist/architect?

P: The 3D artist, Nuno Silva, who works in Lumion. His work depicting architectural exteriors and interiors is very realistic and even better, he freely shares his knowledge with easy-to-follow tutorials which I’ve been watching.

What are you reading?

P: I was recently gifted the autobiography ‘Boy in a China Shop’ by Keith Brymer Jones, the ceramic designer from Pottery Throwdown. I don’t have a lot of spare time for reading but enjoyed watching the TV series and, so far, I’m enjoying the book.

When you’re not working, what do you do?

P: I really enjoy learning so spend my time outside of work predominantly training. At the moment I’m working in Revit and Lumion which go together well as 3D packages. I also like listening to music (mainly rock!) which I like to pair with training – I find it helps me concentrate and wakes me up a bit when I’m tired.

What have you learnt at MM?

P: How to make good quality tea and coffee! Although I’m still on probation in this aspect as my standard is yet to reach the official approval of Mr Mansfield.
